KRS ROUTE ANALYZER PROGRAM
       by timetraveller
========================================

KRS Route Analyzer (KRSRA) is a program which will display detailed information about Rail Simulator routes and their scenarios. Program brings simple one click access to route and scenario folders. It will also display consist information about each scenario, including individual unit weights, total train weight and drag weight for the locos, in Imperial or Metric measurement units. Entire routes may be cloned, or individual scenarios cloned. Default routes can be unlocked so they can be edited.

Program has been developed and tested on Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2.

WARNING
------------------------
This program is a game hacker program. In some cases, it will modify Rail Simulator game files. It has been tested extensively, however I am not responsible for damage incurred to your Rail Simulator install. Back up your game!

INSTALLING
------------------------
Unzip the downloaded file and click on the setup.exe to install KRSRA. Install may be done over top any pre-existing KRSRA installation. If newer versions come out, this is what to do.

>>> Important!
Be sure the file serz.exe (installed by the RS game to your \RailSimulator folder) has been copied into your Windows\system32 folder.

INITIAL START UP
------------------------
Click on the Desktop icon for initial startup of the program.

This program requires you to set up the file path to the Rail Simulator game .exe file, RailSim.exe. Do this first.

After setting up the game path, KRSRA will compile details about each route and its scenarios.

GENERAL USE
------------------------

Unit weights (engine, wagon, tender, etc.) can be displayed in either Imperial or Metric format. On the toolbar, click on Edit|Preferences|Unit Weight and choose the method that suits you.

Click on any route folder box (like 76b3a3f0-c9b0-48f2-9eff-1af9b00166d6), or any scenario folder box (same type number), and its folder will be opened for you to inspect.

>>> Cloning routes
Select a route in the Routes window, then click the Clone Selected Route item on the Edit menu. You will be asked to name the new route and if you also want to clone the route's scenarios. The route will be cloned. Allow the clone process to complete. DO NOT CLOSE THE PROGRAM OR PREMATURELY END IT.

Not that in the stock Rail Simulator game after the MK1 Update all the routes are locked and cannot be modified. Neither can their scenarios. Click the Unlock All Routes item on the Edit menu and all routes will be unlocked.

>>> Refresh
Clicking Refresh on the toolbar refreshes all information.

NOTES
------------------------
The Consist window displays individual car weights for you, and if they are unloaded or loaded. The total train weight is also displayed, as well as the total drag weight, that is - the weight of the consist that the engines are pulling and/or pushing.

Exploring those odd 76b3a3f0-c9b0-48f2-9eff-1af9b00166d6 route and scenario folders is easy in KRSRA. Simply right click on the displayed folder number and Windows Explorer is launched for that folder if it exists.
